tryptophan synthetase A protein .'.

You'd think following a period of little-to-no blogging, that one would venture to post something interesting - well thought out, creative, thought provoking..

Well - that sounded like way too much work, but one of the servers I pop up on occasionally has a "fortune" program (providing random quotes for the day), which thrust the following astrocity in my face:

Other items that are drifting through my brain:
  • The record label requested a name change for the album (apparently they didn't like my idea of "101 Ways to Cook Ferret"), their suggestion was one that I'm none too impressed with, so I'm trying to come up with a workable title for me (one I'm happy to associate with) and them (one they feel will typecast the album enough to sell it)
  • My sister is coming to visit me in san francisco! WOOT! more on that later
  • The game(s) I'm writing are finally getting to that stage where it's fun again (if you don't know - programming can be a lot of fun, but good programming requires a fairly hefty amount of "grunt work," if I was rich I'd have an infinite amount of monkeys do that bit for me)
  • I refuse to comment on the politics of this country.
  • haha - darn.
Exciting stuff.

Well - I'm going to have to start living like a writer so that I have something to write about.

(what is so unattractive to me about stability? why does it cause such stagnance?)

anyone?
anyone?

The third crash.. .'.

As I lay in bed lastnight, unable to sleep - thinking about the random things that you do in halfway land - I had a most odd experience that has left me (still, at 1pm the day after) a little shaken up.

I was in a crash.

Sounds like a bad pun, but that's literally what it felt like.

Over the course of about half a second, I heard a sound get louder, very quickly, like an object coming straight at my head, humming.
I opened my eyes just in time to be smacked in the face by a ball of light which threw my body a full 45 degrees in bed. My face went numb and (not surprisingly) my heart rate went up. The sound was somewhat like I'd imagine a plane would sound if it landed on your nose, the sensation was more that of being in a car wreck..

This may sound silly and melodramatic, but it was quite an intense experience, which left me questioning sanity, reality, and numerous other "ity"s - unfortunately I'm in far too much of a rush right now to fully realise this in writing..

The interesting thing is that, with the crash itself, I recalled two other times when the same had happened to a smaller extent - needless to say, I sat up for a while thinking..

And this morning, whilst making my coffee, I continued my analysis.

I was thinking, "what is the significance of this virtual car crash?" at which point, (cheezy as it sounds) the voice of an (intuitively inclined) acquaintance came into my head.
Yesterday, he had asked me if I was going somewhere with someone I didn't know this weekend. He also said, that I should stay out of cars for two days.

Curiouser and curiouser, said Alice.
